History

The idea for The Remnant Academy was birthed from individuals who saw a need for a school that would provide a wonderful education to many children in a Christian environment. Because of her love for Jesus, and her love for children combined, Pastor Jan Hill (the school founder) took this vision and ran with it. She put in the many hours of preparation that it took to turn this dream into a reality.

The Remnant Academy began in August of 2007 with twelve students, one director, one teacher, and one school room. The "Pioneer Students" had a great year of learning and fun. The students were between the ages of 2 1/2 years old through kindergarten, and they were split up into a preschool class and a Kindergarten class--all in a "one-room-schoolhouse" setting. The first year was a great success, and the school has continued to expand and improve each year.   The Remnant Academy now opens its doors to over 130 children ranging in age from 6 weeks old through 10 years old. There are now twenty teachers and teacher's aids on staff. The children of The Academy make their home in a state of the art, 7,654 square foot, eight room Education Center. Outdoors, the children have several options including an open air pavilion, an amazing playground, a large field with a garden and oversized sandbox, and a splashpad!

Jesus Christ receives all the glory for the great things done in and through The Remnant Academy so far. We look forward to continued growth in every area of this school!
